How we use your Steam data

What we access
Your public Steam profile name, avatar, game list, and playtime hours. We only see what's already visible to anyone on Steam. Your profile must be set to public for us to read it.
Why we need it
Your playtime data powers the recommendations. Without knowing what you actually play, we can't match games to your taste. We also use your current mood and playstyle preferences from the quiz.
What we never receive
Your Steam password. We use Steam's secure OpenID login or a public profile lookup — neither gives us access to your account or credentials.
How long we keep it
Profile data is cached to speed up repeat visits. You can delete your search history and cached data at any time from Account Settings.
Disconnect anytime
You can disconnect your Steam account from LudScout at any time. This removes the link and stops future data access.
Delete your data
You can delete your account and all associated data from Account Settings. This permanently removes your stored information.

An AI then recommends games that match your demonstrated taste, with a reason explaining why each pick fits. You can switch between two modes: All-Time (based on your most-played games of all time) or Recent (based on what you're playing right now). Pro users also unlock Hidden Gems — a separate filter that surfaces obscure, underrated titles off the beaten path.
